Monitoring
During treatment, it is recommended to monitor full blood count during chemotherapy. After treatment, careful nutrition follow-up is recommended: for example, vitamin B12 should be monitored in patients who have undergone a proximal or total gastrectomy. All patients should be reviewed every 4 months for 3 years, then annually.
Radiographic imaging and endoscopy should be performed as clinically indicated.
Patients with recurrent disease can be considered for salvage chemotherapy, provided that they have adequate performance status.[105][106]
