Monitoring
BUN, creatinine, and urinalysis with sediment check should be repeated 1 month after resolution of the acute episode, and subsequently at 3 months to ensure that no relapse has occurred.
Annual blood pressure measurement, BUN and creatinine, and urinalysis are necessary to detect progression of renal disease as a residual of the prior renal insult.
