Secondary prevention
Recurrent episodes of GBS are rare, affecting 2% to 5% of patients, and no definite preventive action is recommended. However, immunization is not recommended during the acute phase of GBS and is not suggested for a period of up to 1 year after onset. After 1 year the need for immunization should be reviewed on an individual basis.[11]
