Patients with diabetes are at higher risk of preeclampsia and therefore of HELLP syndrome.[1]
autoimmune disorders
Patients with immune disorders, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, are at higher risk of preeclampsia and therefore of HELLP syndrome.[1]
migraine
abnormal placentation (e.g., molar pregnancy)
