Cellulitis and erysipelas

Cellulitis caused by Vibrio vulnificus after salt water exposure can result in a life-threatening illness. This usually occurs in patients with pre-existing liver disease.

Sepsis

Episodes of cellulitis may result in damage to draining lymphatics and/or veins, thereby increasing susceptibility to recurrent episodes of cellulitis.
