Monitoring
Expert opinion recommends close follow-up of patients diagnosed with reactive arthritis. Typically, return visits should be scheduled monthly for the first 3 to 6 months. Medical treatment is then adjusted according to the patient's response.Imaging studies may play a role in monitoring disease activity and structural changes.[65]
Patients should be followed by a rheumatologist, and also by an ophthalmologist and a dermatologist, if appropriate.
