With the exception of dietary elimination therapy, there are no specific lifestyle modifications or over-the-counter medications that are effective. Of note, dietary elimination therapy should not be attempted by patients in the absence of supervision by a physician and a dietitian; appropriate endoscopic follow-up is required to assess the treatment response.
