Lesch-Nyhan disease

Patients should have uric acid levels monitored regularly, at least once a year after a stable dose of allopurinol has been achieved, and have regular renal ultrasound evaluations (e.g., once a year). Regular follow-up appointments, preferably with clinicians experienced in this disease, can help to identify and treat further neurological and orthopaedic complications early.
