Emerging treatments
Catheter-based ablation
Reserved for syncope related to tachyarrhythmias.[2] Some research suggests a possible role for treatment of recurrent vasovagal syncope refractory to conventional treatment. In one retrospective cohort study, 91.2% (52/57) patients with vasovagal syncope treated with catheter ablation were free from syncope after 12-102 months' follow-up.[81]
