STEM Demos

Here are some examples of STEM Demos for community events many were made by IEEE student members.

This one was made by a IEEE student member who is now currently working at Disneyland at Shanghai, China.

These students worked late at night on this Tesla Coil in preparation for a community event, Engineering Summit.

Pythagorean Greedy Cup

A demo of a low-maintenance robotics Lego Mindstorms, at 47 second mark.

A demo of a simple motor at 1:49 mark.

Explaining a student-built dirt battery at 2:40 mark.

Demo of a student-built robotic arena at 3:06 mark.

Demo of a Microsoft Kinect for animation at 3:30 mark.

Students take a break from their studies to fly quadrocopters.

Collection of demos used at various community events.

Being inspired by the IEEE student quadcopter activities, this was an ambitious project by one graduate student who did not have control theory but was self-motivated to learn about not only Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control theory but Arduino microcontrollers, magnetometers, and 3D-printing.
