Conference Committee Report For Region 3 Committee Meeting 10-15-04 Southeastcon 2003 Closing report submitted to HQ, surplus distributed, and banking accounts are closed. Southeastcon 2004 The preliminary closing report has been prepared, surplus distributed, and banking accounts closed. Chip Dawson's detailed report was submitted under separate cover. Southeastcon 2005 Technical papers are arriving. Committee has asked to use the Region 3 registration program. The Conference Committee plans to train the SEC05 Committee about the workings of the registration program in early November 04 during a face to face session. Likewise, all other SEC05 activities are on track. Southeastcon 2006 Committee is gearing up for SEC06. Alan Long's brief report is included in the Memphis Section Report. Southeastcon 2007 We expect to submit the proposal for hosting SEC07 at the Region 3 Committee Meeting this weekend. Pending a successful proposal, the SEC07 Committee will complete hotel negotiations, etc in preparation of the conference. NC Symposium The NC Symposium on Biotechnology and Bioinformatics 2004 is scheduled for this weekend in Raleigh NC. We wish them well. Southcon The Southcon Committee has planned a successful conference for 2005. All plans are moving forward. Please make your plans to attend.
