The IEEE Florida Space Coast Cyber Security Conference 2024 was held at Rockledge Elks Lodge #2817 in Melbourne, Florida, on October 5, 2024.
Colonel Shannon DaSilva, Commander of the United States Space Force Space Delta 10 unit from Patrick Space Force Base, kicked off the event, which included a number of speakers discussing cyber threats and their experiences in the field.
Approximately 60 people from eight area sections (Broward, Canaveral, Daytona, Florida West Coast, Melbourne, Miami, Palm Beach, and Northwest Florida) attended the conference.
IEEE Day, celebrated on the first Tuesday in October each year, marks the contributions and achievements made by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) to technology and engineering.
The event was partially funded by IEEE Region 3 and the Melbourne LMAG.
