IEEE Central Illinois Seeks Signal Processing Society Chapter
Beginning in July 2024, the IEEE Central Illinois Section (CILS) will seek volunteers and member feedback about forming a Signal Processing Society (SPS) chapter. This project will help bring new technical gatherings, professional development events, and related activities to the area.
What is the IEEE Signal Processing Society?
As one of IEEE’s first technical societies, the IEEE Signal Processing Society serves members who specialize in the generation, transformation, and interpretation of information. IEEE SPS members operate across multiple domains, including but not limited to:
- Signal processing for machine learning
- Sensors and signal conditioning
- Image processing and analysis
- Signal compression and reconstruction
- Language and speech information processing
