In celebration of PES Day 2025, IEEE PES SBC CET is organizing a talk session on "Emerging Solar PV Technologies and Solutions Helping the Energy Transition". The session will be delivered by Dr. Ajith Gopi, Additional Chief Technical Manager at ANERT, Govt. of Kerala, and Chair of Professional Activities at IEEE Kerala Section.
This session aims to shed light on the latest advancements in solar photovoltaic (PV) technology and their critical role in enabling a sustainable and equitable energy transition. The session will explore the latest advancements in solar photovoltaic (PV) technologies and their role in accelerating the global shift toward sustainable energy. It will cover emerging solutions, implementation strategies, and the transformative impact of solar energy in addressing today’s energy challenges and supporting the global energy transition.
Biography:
Dr. Ajith Gopi is a distinguished clean energy specialist with over 28 years of experience in renewable energy. He currently serves as the Additional Chief Technical Manager at ANERT (Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology), the Government of Kerala's nodal agency for renewable energy initiatives. Dr. Gopi holds a Ph.D. in Solar Energy and has been instrumental in advancing solar photovoltaic projects, including Kerala's first Solar Village Electrification Project. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and chairs Professional Activities for IEEE Kerala.
