The IEEE Student Branch at Baze University is organizing the Tech & Innovation Expo 2024, an exciting platform for final-year students to showcase their projects. The event aims to encourage hands-on engineering by displaying physical models that demonstrate innovative solutions. Students will have the opportunity to present their work to esteemed lecturers and industry professionals while competing for cash prizes. Additionally, the event will feature insightful talks from lab technicians on how physical model development contributes to economic growth and job creation.
Event Venue:
Baze University, Auditorium.

Objectives:
- Encourage students to build and present physical models.
- Inspire innovation and hands-on engineering practices.
- Provide a platform for final-year students to showcase their projects.
- Offer industry insights on economic development through innovation.
- Recognize and reward outstanding student projects.
Judging Criteria:
Projects will be evaluated by lecturers of Baze University based on:
- Innovation & Creativity (30%)
- Technical Execution (30%)
- Presentation & Clarity (20%)
- Real-World Impact (20%)
Prize Structure:
Each winning category receives ₦10,000 ( 6.52 USD) cash prize:
- Best Innovation Award
- Best Technical Execution Award
- Audience Favorite Award
Workshops & Keynote Talks:
Lab technicians will give interactive lectures on:
- The importance of creating physical models.
- How innovation contributes to economic growth & job creation.
Event Promotion & Awareness:
- Posters will be placed across the university.
- Social media campaigns on IEEE Student Branch pages.
- Word-of-mouth and department announcements.
Registration Process:
- Open to all students at Baze University.
- No prior registration required – students can participate by bringing their projects on the event day.
Judging & Presentation Timing:
- Each team gets 15 minutes to present their project.
- Additional time for audience interaction and engagement.
