ComEd plays a critical role of powering the internet and digital economy we live and work in.  The Chicago area is a top hub for data centers that are attracted by key factors that exist here, such as, the convergence of fiber optic networks, abundant fresh water for cooling, low risk of natural disasters, and state-level tax incentives.  Most importantly for ComEd, our system is reliable, provides access to clean energy sources, costs are competitively priced, and our solid reputation for meeting the industry’s expanding needs.  During this session, attendees will learn more about the end-to-end process from first contact, to transmission planning, engineering, construction, energization, and ongoing engagement with this rapidly growing customer sector in terms of the number of locations and the increasing scale of their power requirements, with some exceeding 1 GW.
