Christopher Sanderson

 

 

Christopher graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology and a military Officer Commission in the United States Army Air Defense Artillery in 1995.  His military service in the United States Army Reserves expanded both the Enlisted ranks and Officer ranks. His military accommodations include numerous accommodations and honorable tours of duty. He has worked for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 corporations with a global presence in the electrical industry such as Schneider Electric General Electric (GE), Siemens Energy & Automation (SIEMENS), ABB (Asea Brown Boveri), and Doosan GridTech.

He has graduated from several Energy, Power, and Distribution programs including Schneider Electric Field Sales Orientation, General Electric’s Technical Sales Program, and the Certified Six Sigma Black Belt Program.     

Currently, Christopher is a volunteer leader with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), one of the world’s largest professional organizations with more than 460,000 members globally. IEEE develops the standards that governments, companies, and organizations like the National Electric Code (NEC) recommend and follow, currently, that’s more than 1,700 active standards and working on new emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, and Smart Grid Systems.





All UNT STEM Student Branch Societies (SHPE, NSBE, SWE, WIE, etc) are invited to attend.
