AI Technology for Medical Image, Signal, and Information Analysis

The recent rapid development of AI technology has significantly leveraged the wide implementation of medical information analysis in clinical medicine. In this seminar, the following contents will be introduced.

1. The basis of medical images, signals, and information

2. Features of medical images, signals, and information

3. Clinical usage of medical images, signals, and information

4. Measurement of medical signals 5. Brief introduction to convolutional neural networks, LSTM, and transformer 6. Implementation of AI in medical image, signal, and information analysis 7. Practical issues in AI technology for medical image, signal, and information analysis 8. Recent trend and future research in medical image, signal, and information analysis

Biography:

Prof. Zhu obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Tianjin University, China, in 2000 and 2002. Then he got his Ph.D.’s degree in computer science and engineering from The University of Aizu in 2006. He is a full professor at Institute of Science Tokyo now. His main research focuses on medical image and signal processing, medical information analysis, and medical instrumentation.
