The role of measurements in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) of Italy. Second Seminar
Join the first 2025 webinar of the recenlty founded IEEE ProComm Italy Chapter!
ABSTRACT
Measurements allow to validate scientific results, optimize complex processes and ensure the reliability of innovations. This is essential to implement the projects envisaged by the NRRP, where the "quality" of the data acquired and/or processed and the reproducibility of both the measurement and information collection processes guide decisions and technological progress. This seminar intends to highlight the fundamental contribution of the measurements to the success of the PNRR initiatives, promoting the involvement of young researchers.
SPEAKER
Prof. Ada Fort (Member, IEEE) received a Laurea degree in electronic engineering and a Ph.D. degree in nondestructive testing from the University of Florence, Florence, Italy, in 1989 and 1992, respectively. She is currently a Full Professor with the Department of Information Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, University of Siena, Siena, Italy. Her interests concern the development of measurement systems based on chemical and ultrasonic sensors and the development of automatic fault diagnosis systems. Recently, she has been involved in the study of random number generators based on chaotic maps.
