Meeting Minutes

1. Technical Sponsorship Modalities – The committee finalized criteria for granting technical sponsorship, including event alignment with Computational Intelligence, high speaker merit, and IEEE CIS membership requirements.

2. Technical Sponsorship Applications – Applications will be reviewed based on the finalized criteria, and applicants will be informed accordingly.

3. Flagship Chapter Conference – Prof. Anirban Mukhopadhyay will seek IEEE CIS HQ approval for a new flagship conference, funding, and publication matters. Suggested names include CALCIS, CALCICON, and others. Further discussion is deferred to the next meeting.

4. Chapter Bank Account – Opening a separate account is not feasible due to the lack of a PAN card and permanent address.

5. Website Maintenance – A full-time person will be hired for website updates on an annual contract. Dr. Jyoti P. Singh will identify a suitable candidate.

6. Seminars/Webinars – A bimonthly flagship series will be initiated across institutions. A Call-for-Event will be published, and an event calendar will be prepared. The chapter may charge a fee for expert recommendations.

7. Miscellaneous – No further discussions; the meeting concluded with a vote of thanks.
