Grayson Randall, the 2025 Chair of the IEEE Humanitarian Technologies Board, will provide an overview of the IEEE Humanitarian Technologies Board, its structure, its initiatives, and the role of MOVE within this framework. He will also highlight other IEEE humanitarian programs and how individuals can get involved.

IEEE Humanitarian Technologies (HT) is a consortium of programs and initiatives—supported by a global network of volunteers and technical professionals—working collaboratively to leverage technology to address the world’s most pressing challenges.

In keeping with the IEEE mission of advancing technology for the benefit of humanity, IEEE HT provides the resources, partnerships, and tools to develop and implement innovative solutions to advance sustainable development goals globally while achieving social and environmental impact on a local level.

Grayson Randall

Biography:

 

Grayson is an IEEE Senior Member and the Chair of the 2025 IEEE Humanitarian Technologies Board. This board oversees IEEE humanitarian projects around the world. He is also the IEEE MOVE Operations lead in the United States. As such he is responsible for the IEEE MOVE trucks and associated equipment that is deployed to natural disaster sites in the United States to support emergency communications. Grayson has been on the IEEE Future Directions Committee and remains active in IEEE Region 3 activities. His professional background is in digital communications, robotics, public safety and emergency response.
