The objective of this chapter is to provide a comprehensive overview of existing communication circuits for use in satellite bus and payloads. These subsystems include command and mission data handling, telemetry and tracking, and the antenna payloads for both command, telemetry and mission data. The importance of power consciousness is well understood in satellite payloads. Portability and low power consumption is essential requirements of the equipments. With the growing experience on the fundamental principles of power conscious design, current mode approach for low voltage and low power (LV/LP) analog designs are now becoming known and analog LV/LP design has played key roles. An overview of the devices used in LV/LP design will be discussed in this presentation
