Happy New Year everyone and welcome to the first LMAG meeting of 2025.

According to the Doodle poll distributed the second week of this month the majority selected Wednesdays at 4 pm Eastern Time for our meeting. Continuing the tradition of my predecessors, it will be held during the third week of the month. WebEx Links have already been generated for the next 6 months.

Coordinator Report:

• Still getting up to Speed with Life Member Committee (LMC) and R7 procedures
• Am attending the IEEE Operations Committee meeting in Toronto Feb 7 to 9. 
  May learn info to pass on at our next meeting
• 2025 Life Members AgeTech Conference will be June 11-13 at Tufts University, Boston

• From last meeting: “remind the region Sections and LMAGs officers to be preparing for full participation in the nomination process for 2025 LMC awards”

  • John Harris noted, at last meeting, that the nomination for Canada LMAG award is due next March, and the Regional and Group nominations are due in April.
  • MGA will distribute a set of Word documents to support the process. I haven’t seen those yet.
