"NOAA is an agency that enriches life through science. Our reach goes from the surface of the sun to the depths of the ocean floor as we work to keep the public informed of the changing environment around them."

On the tour, we will see the Space Weather Prediction CenterGlobal Monitoring Laboratory where they'll talk about global monitoring of greenhouse gases and ozone, the local forecasting office of the National Weather Service, and the Science on a Sphere theater.

Two important notes:
  1. Our group will be limited to 25 people and I will need to provide a list of attendees by July 30th.  That being the case, if you are reasonably sure that you will attend, don't delay in signing up for one of the 25 available spots.  On the other hand, if you are in the "maybe" category, please don't take a spot.  Because NOAA has to vet all the participants a week prior to the event, we don't have the ability to go to a "wait list" to fill vacancies that arise.
  2. Being a U.S. government agency, there is a limitation that all visitors need to be US citizens or US permanent residents with a valid green card.  Everyone will need a government issued ID - this can be a drivers license, passport, green card, etc.
