2024 Girls In Aviation Day
Please join us for Girls in Aviation Day at Stead Airport!
This event is all about showcasing and promoting different options, career fields, and recreational pursuits within aviation to young women through a variety of speakers, exhibits, and hands-on learning. Girls ages 8-18 will have the opportunity to meet and be inspired by women pilots, mechanics, air traffic controllers, aerospace engineers, and more.
The local IEEE section is seeking volunteers for tabling this event. We will have Elenco SNAP Circuit available for young students to play with in order to learn about building radios and using circuits to launch discs and planes.
