Abstract:High power density DC-DC converters utilize interesting interleaving techniques together with novel magnetic devices and wide bandgap semiconductors to improve the size and volume of the power electronic system onboard electric vehicles. Interleaving strategies commonly exploit the common mode voltage in combination with magnetic coupling to naturally increase and mitigate the ripple frequency, while the new semiconductor and magnetic materials may significantly aid to reduce the converter size by allowing switching frequency increase and improved magnetic integration and construction. This webinar presents a brief review on high power density DC-DC converters for electromobility applications showing how medium power converters have been improved in gravimetric density during the last years in search of a more efficient and reliable electromobility. Please note: This webinar will be held in Spanish.
