M4: Advancing Population health and equity: Collective leadership and quality improvement in action

Wednesday 21 May 2025 | 09:30-12:30

Format: Half-day workshop

Stream: Populations

This session will help participants understand what it takes to lead across complex systems to lead improvements for whole populations, and to develop a practical plan to progress work that they are involved in.

Using the 6 conditions of system change developed by Peter Senge, this session aims to:

  • Invite participants to share what it means to lead in this space and to “lean in”, drawing on the experiences of the facilitators

  • Develop a shared understanding of tools, methods, approaches and the contexts within which they work

  • Develop a shared appreciation of the value of relational approaches, and how this is necessary to shift the system

  • Practice and apply the approaches, with space to consider how to apply these to support movement towards a shared and emerging future

  • Draw on our collaborative intelligence to identify actionable insights that will support system leaders in practical ways
