This interactive workshop aims to explore the current policy landscape of Quality of Care and Patient Safety in the WHO European Region. The session will provide a system-level overview of national policies, highlight key findings from recent published data, and engage participants in dynamic discussions on co-creating solutions for improving healthcare quality.
The key insights from the WHO report “Taking the Pulse of Quality of Care and Patient Safety in the WHO European Region” will set the stage for an innovative mini-hackathon rounds. The participants will be encouraged to contribute ideas to strengthening user participation in quality of care policymaking and shaping quality of care strategies through co-creation.
Through “rapid-fire” discussions and dynamic participatory engagement, this session will provide practical insights to enhance patient-centered care and quality of care policy development across the region.
In this session, participants will:
- Understand the current Quality of Care and Patient Safety policy landscape in the WHO European Region
- Explore innovative approaches to enhance user participation in healthcare decision-making, particularly for child and adolescent mental health
- Contribute with ideas to strengthening co-creation of Quality of Care and Patient Safety national policies and strategies
- Develop actionable recommendations to support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives across different healthcare systems
