Identification of adult cardiac arrest using NHS Pathways

Deakin et al 1 reviewed the cardiac arrest (CA) capture rate at initial 999 call triage in one ambulance service over 12 months, using NHS Pathways (Pathways). The study reports call handlers identify 75.9% of cases where CA has occurred. 24.1% (n=753) CA cases were missed during call triage.
