Quality improvement
- Improving the admission temperatures of preterm infants in the neonatal unit (2 August, 2021)
In this quality improvement (QI) initiative, five evidence-based interventions are described which increased the proportion of preterm infants born at <32 weeks’ gestation admitted to a neonatal unit with a body temperature of 36.5-37.4°C. Key to this was engagement of a multi-disciplinary working group and QI training of staff.
