Clinical presentation

A 65-year-old woman had a positive Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) on a bowel cancer screening programme. Her medical history included migraines and hypercholesterolaemia. She had no allergies; she took a statin daily. She worked as a teacher, smoked five cigarettes per day and drank one glass of wine per week.
