Open access agreement for authors at eligible OhioLINK institutions
Publish open access at Wiley
Corresponding authors affiliated with participating OhioLINK institutions may publish open access in any fully open access or hybrid journal, at no cost to the author.
You can be confident that by choosing open access your work has the best chance to be read, cited and shared. Read more about the advantages of publishing open access here.
Publishing open access:
Check your eligibility:

- Articles must be submitted by the corresponding author affiliated with an eligible OhioLINK member institution. A corresponding author is responsible for handling the manuscript and correspondence during the publication process
- You must choose to publish in a fully gold open access journal or in a hybrid journal that publishes both subscription-only and open access articles
- If submitting to a fully gold open access journal your manuscript must have been submitted for publication on or after 1 January 2024
- If submitting to a hybrid journal your manuscript must have been accepted for publication on or after 1 January 2024
- There is an annual limit to the number of articles that may be covered by the agreement. The request for Article Publication Charge (APC) coverage must be approved while article coverage is available. Limits reset 1 January each year
- Requests for APC coverage made at submission are provisional until confirmed following acceptance for publication. Provisional requests are confirmed once the open access license is signed, subject to verification of institutional affiliation and availability of coverage
- Your article must be primary research or a review article. Other article types are excluded, e.g. letters, editorials etc
- This agreement cannot be used to pay for cover color, and page charges, which individual journals administer separately
