This video demonstrates Trousseau’s sign in an 83-year-old patient who presented to the emergency department with malaise, diarrhoea, and cramps/tingling in her limbs. Trousseau’s sign is a carpopedal spasm induced by ischaemia through inflation of a sphygmomanometer cuff to a suprasystolic blood pressure. It emerged at 25 secs after the start of cuff inflation, with a maximal spasm at 60 secs.
