A former US army physician has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for his involvement in a $7.3m (£4.8m; €6.5m) healthcare fraud scheme in which he recommended medical devices to US military hospitals where he practiced while he was employed by the companies that developed and marketed the devices.
