This standard provides uniform measurement procedures for determining the effectiveness of electromagnetic (EM) shielding within specified frequency ranges and test procedures for measuring the shielding effectiveness (SE) of enclosures having linear dimensions between 0.1 m and 2 m. Enclosures with these dimensions are a subclass of the enclosure not covered by IEEE Std 299. Definitions and test methods described in this standard apply to determining the shielding effectiveness for enclosures with apertures used in a variety of applications including power supplies, variable speed drives, and electronic equipment housings.
