Improve accuracy of stock status
Display accurate and genuinely ‘live’ stock updates on Oasis, with feeds from the suppliers that are actually used to source the stock. The current ‘in stock’ status is misleading as it doesn't mean an item is immediately available.
This work was completed with recent enhancements to the OASIS UI to display “In stock with supplier” and “Order requests accepted”

The actual phrase 'In stock' is really misleading. Many staff think that you have a warehouse - could it be expanded to say something like Stocked at publisher/Publisher in stock.
As well as that, I agree that the accuracy of the statement still needs to be updated more accurately and regularly -

It is misleading especially if it is a book which is hard to find elsewhere. If you can see it in stock you think you have a chance of purchasing the book and feeding this back to the requester. It is frustrating to find out alas the book is unavailable and having to say unfortunately no we in fact , are unable to purchase this book.

Anything that can result in unnecessary delay should be resolved as we usually have a tight turnaround from ordering books to them being avaialble on the shelf and available to our students and staff ie our customers asap.

Please improve the accuracy of stock status. Something can supposedly be 'in stock' but can still take WEEKS to get to us. Not good.

This would be really helpful particularly with urgently required items when you want to be sure the book will come asap.
