Waitlist Suggestion
We recently enabled automatic upgrades/purchases in LibCentral with a threshold amount of $150 for each. However, now that fall classes have begun, this is resulting in multiple patron mediated upgrade/purchase requests for titles above that cost. Ideally, we would like to have auto upgrades/purchases enabled below that price threshold, but then have turnaways/waitlist options available for titles above that price. It would be nice it the setting wasn't an all or nothing for the waitlist option.

Apply auto-upgrades to a set or collection of eBooks rather than ALL owned eBooks
The default setting for auto-upgrades makes all owned content eligible for auto-upgrade when this setting is selected. For institutions that have been buying 1-user or 3-user models for a long period, moving to auto-upgrades could have significant budget implications. We'd like to be able to apply auto-upgrades to select sets or collections of eBooks (DDA pool, course reserves, assigned course materials) rather than to all owned content.

Separation of labeling of purchased eBooks and titles available via the STL
A separation of the labeling of purchased eBooks and eBooks that are entered under "Non-Mediated STL" with a price limit. All titles whose STL is below the price limit are labeled as "Available". This is also the case for purchased eBooks. A separation would be beneficial for users: e.g. puchased or owned eBook for purchased titles; "Available" for STL.

Set number of turnaways before ebook licence upgraded
It would be useful to be able to set a minimum number of turnaways (ideally from unique users) before an ebook licence is automatically upgraded or additional licences purchased.

Allow use of Waitlist for those who have auto-upgrades in place
Please develop the capability to enable the WaitList feature for specific titles for those libraries who have auto-upgrade enabled. This is an important feature for some titles being used for courses.

Enable subject-based activation of Open Access Collection titles
The full Open Access Collection may not be relevant for an institution's patrons. It would be good if you could do a subject-based activation of only PARTS of the collection, in place of the entire collection. Currently you have to do exactly that and then deselect topics or single titles afterwards - which is rather cumbersome.

Ability to turn off mediated requests at an individual title level
It would be great to have the ability to turn off mediated requests at the individual title level when we have purchased up to our maximum number of copies. Perhaps this could be include in the Book level permissions section.

Fix misleading Extended Access upgrade mediation steps
In extended access 3-user/1-user Turnaway Handling it states that:
Step2: Upgrade price limit - YES - (Books above this price will be mediated)
By setting a price limit, we are stating that if the difference between a 1U and a 3U is above the ceiling set, the book should mediate. This not the case - if a general setting for autopurchases has been set, then instead of mediating the system will buy a new 1U licence (leaving you with paying for 3x1U, instead of the expected 1U + EA difference to 3U) (up to your existing copy limit)

Create LTI between Ebook Central and Desire to Learn (D2L)
We have successfully set up integration between EBSCO ebooks, Alexander Street streaming videos, and D2L. Ebook Central is the other main source of our ebooks so we'd like that integrated as well.

local access permissions control consortia titles
When a consortium member library has different book download settings on its account than a consortium from which it inherits content, the library's own settings should govern access to consortium-purchased books when users access through that library's account.

Allow individual site-level access permission control for consortium-provided content
We have an ebook collection that's provided by a consortium. We'd like to remove the "download book" link for users of our library, but that can only be done at the consortium level.

Patrons can return books early
To allow return of book earlier after download, so that the book can be available for other users.
Each ebook will have a specific number of concurrent user access. However, if a user downloads a book, this is tied to a fixed number of days, before the book can be free-up for other users to access. The function should allow users to return the book earlier, so that others can also access the eBook earlier.79 votesThank you all for your feedback on this enhancement request! The Library should be able to stop patrons from Request title if the Library has purchased max amount of 1user only.
Ebook Central Admin: Why did I get a mediated request for this title?
- Extended access enabled and set to upgrade automatically, but no upgraded access model is available, or the upgrade price exceeds the upgrade price limit.
Suggestion for change:
The Library should be able to stop patrons from Request title if the Library has purchased max amount of 1user only. Example: A library owns 3 copies of a 1-user copy of an ebook and the ebook is currently in use. The Library have purchased total 3user access so the Library have enough licenses according to their policies. The patron…

Automatically allow 7-day loan when 1-day and 7-day are same price
In LibCentral, System Settings, General Permission, DDA tab, we checked off "1 day" and "7 day" loan periods for patrons. Many times, the price for a 1-day or 7-day loan is the same. In this case, we want patrons to choose "7-day loan", because this will help keep costs down. Sometimes they end up incurring multiple 1-day loans in the course of a week.
The problem is, the patron doesn't know that the price is the same, and often checks "1-day".
Is there any way to force a 7-day loan when the price is the same as a 1-day?

Allow the ability to change the extended access settings for individual titles
This has come up when new editions of owned copies of titles come out. We don't want to turn off the visibility of the owned copy but we also don't want to trigger additional upgrades or purchases.
