Academic users really need page numbers for Ebooks that correspond to print page numbers.

Academic users really need page numbers for ebooks (in your "EBook Central") that correspond to printed page numbers. If I can't find the actual page number from searching text fragments in Google Books (which is an annoying workaround), then the ebook has limited usefulness.
