The traditional method of measuring loudspeaker performance in an anechoic chamber does not yield certain kinds of information in readily usable form that are needed for multi-speaker system design. The reverberation chamber does furnish this information in graphical form. The calibration of a reverberation chamber and its instrumentation are described, with examples of its use in the design procedure.
