Open Access FAQs
- Why is EJSS becoming an Open Access journal?
You can read our Editorial about this published here.
Open Access brings increased visibility of research with increased downloads, citations and impact for published articles (Wiley, 2023). We see the journal’s move to Open Access as paramount for ECSS’s mission to disseminate high quality, innovative sport and exercise science and biomedical research to a global audience. Following thorough analysis of the Open Access funding landscape and conversations with journal stakeholders, the ECSS Executive Board made the decision to ‘flip’ EJSS with our new publisher, Wiley, commencing in January 2024. We feel that the future looks bright for EJSS and our valued community of authors, reviewers, and associate editors.
