Describes process that six counselor trainees and two supervisors used with treatment and observation teams to examine their own coevolution as a therapeutic system using the Milan model of family therapy and Ericksonian hypnotherapy. A total of 291 supervisors were assigned to 3 groups (in-house training, external training, no training) for training in management of troubled employees. Examined relationship between ethnicity and supervisors' Employee Assistance Program referrals in Black (n=64) and White (n=116) employees.
