Study results are similar to findings of S. King (1968) which show very few differences in background between users and nonusers. Noncounseled students did as well academically as counseled, and only half of the latter felt their experience had been helpful. The study shows that the nation wide picture of student misconduct in 1966 departs substantially from its reflection in the public media.
