Granting Science a Dramatic License: Exploring a 4th Grade Science Classroom and the Possibilities for Integrating Drama
Alrutz, Megan
Teaching Artist Journal, v2 n1 p31-39 2004
This study explores a fourth grade classroom, hypothesizing about the possibilities for using drama to teach elementary school science. The case study provides one with the author's first glimpse into a fourth grade science classroom, as well as a preliminary examination of whether or not room exists for drama in the elementary science classroom. While the author found strong support for the use of drama to teach science, she recognizes some realistic limitations to its implementation.
