Experience Gained during the Adaptation of Classical ChE Subjects to the Bologna Plan in Europe: The Case of Chemical Reactors
Ponsa, Sergio; Sanchez, Antoni
Chemical Engineering Education, v45 n1 p65-72 Win 2011
At present, due to the overall adaptation to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), a new concept regarding the teaching methodology was thought to be essential for engineering subjects. In this paper we describe our experience teaching the altered content of the courses on two classical subjects; Chemical Reactors (Chemical Engineering) and Chemical Reaction Engineering (Technical Industrial Engineering). Both subjects had been taught as traditional subjects for many years with a medium-high level of student satisfaction. The main aspects of the new methodology have been improved and the perception, content learning, and developing of other general competences is proposed.
