In this article, the author shares her view about her ASE membership and what it says about her. What she hopes her ASE membership says about her is that she is committed to her own professional development and the professional development of others; she values the opportunity to engage with the wider perspective, to take on responsibilities or leadership outside her school; and she wants to work in new teams, try out new ideas and have her attitudes and opinions challenged. Her membership says that she is looking forward to the challenges of the next phase for primary science education. She presents news from the ASE Primary Science Committee.
