Adults Learning, v16 n7 p8-12 Mar 2005
In his February Commentary for "Adults Learning" (Volume 16, Number 6), NIACE Director Alan Tuckett warned that without greater public investment, provision for many adults would be under threat. This article presents several responses from some important players, from across the learning and skills sector. These include: (1) "Government found wanting" by Mervyn Wilson; (2) "Learning divide is increasing" by Chris Sivers; (3) "No real commitment" by Clare Brown; (4) "Something is being lost" by Peter Templeton; (5) "Some safeguard!" by Patrick Freestone; (6) "Many will be disadvantaged" by Jennifer Adshead; and (7) "Time to move on?" by Donald Rae.
