Applying the AISP Model to the College Student-Athlete
Rhatigan, James J.
New Directions for Student Services, n128 p59-62 Win 2009
One of the primary responsibilities of student affairs administrators is to recognize student issues and problems and to find ways of resolving them. Scholars sometimes suggest helpful approaches, and the Assessment-Intervention of Student Problems (AISP) model is but one example of these. Of course, the test of any model is how well it works. This chapter considers the student-athlete, an identifiable subpopulation on most campuses, to see how or whether the AISP model might apply.
