Performance on the Brink
Cassidy, Michael; Medsker, Karen
Performance Improvement Quarterly, v19 n4 p3-5 Dec 2006
Bob Knight, Head Men's Basketball Coach at Texas Tech, has set a new record for the most career wins (880) in college basketball history. As Indiana University graduates (Knight coached at Indiana for 21 years), and occasional college basketball fans, the authors consider what can be learned from Bob Knight, a complex and controversial figure. The authors take a look at Knight's positive attributes and values that contribute to his success as a coach and to the respect he has earned from most of his players, their parents, fans, and other coaches.
