Stories about Struggling Readers and Technology
Anderson, Rebecca; Balajthy, Ernest
Reading Teacher, v62 n6 p540-542 Mar 2009
Educators have moved on from older models of technology-based education that focused on the attributes and basic uses of the hardware and software available to them. Now they are finding the necessary creative and innovative ways to harness technology's power for school and community educational improvement. In this column, the authors tell four stories of educators who have moved beyond the basics in technology implementation to electronic books; urban literature discussions; community recreational reading; and, finally, to student-created language experience stories.
