Among the major tasks facing the modern day youth is how best to manage his/her time productively. With the plethora of problems facing the Nigerian undergraduates, it becomes necessary to find out how the Nigerian undergraduate spends his time. Two thousand four hundred full time undergraduates formed the sample of this study. Simple percentage, mean and rank order were the statistical tools adopted for the analysis of data. The study ex-facie revealed that the faculty that recorded the highest mean hour for private study and assignment did not invariably record the least mean hour for leisure activities. The preferred leisure activity that ranked 1st was listening to music. The study also revealed that a majority of Nigerian undergraduates spend 26 hours and above a week on personal study and assignments. It was recommended among other things that the authorities of Nigerian universities and non government organizations should provide facilities for indoor games in the halls of residence. Also recommended is that social life skills should be taught in schools so that students know how to manage their time effectively. (Contains 7 tables and 1 figure.)
